Unboxing, Pictures, Initial Impressions & Gain Switching Guide of the Just Audio µHA-120 Portable Amplifier

I got extremely lucky in picking up the µHA-120 in a audio-meet raffle in Cambridge! I also talked to the maker of the amp, whilst I was there, and was impressed with the quality and clarity that the amp provided for the price!

The Just Audio µHA-120 can be found to purchase from Analogue Seduction & Hifi Headphones for around £220.

Initial Impressions
-Crystal clear mids and transparent sound
-Powerful amp – drives headphones
-Good powerful bass reproduction
-Good battery life (running over 15hours @60% Volume on High Gain)
-Portable to a certain extent
-Easy assembly disassembly of the amp, in order to change jumper settings (high/low gain)
-Well built, and looks beautiful with its metallic finish
-Charges fast on both settings

Unboxing, Pictures & Initial Impressions of the Logitech K400 Wireless Keyboard

I bought this keyboard with the intention of using it in lectures at University, with my Samsung Galaxy S III.
I wanted something small, portable, and more so compatible.
The mouse was an added extra with the Logitech, over something like the HP TouchPad – Which I found might come in useful, especially seeing as I might want to edit some previous text I had entered, and more so for a small price difference.
I bought the Logitech K400 from Amazon UK for £28.80 & AmazonUSA for $25.

Initial Impressions
-Light keyboard
-Works great on the Samsung Galaxy S III
-Keyboard keys are soft on touch
-Mouse tracking is good
-Very low profile keyboard
-Nice design
-Good connectivity (range)

A full review, will come after I start using it in lectures and testing its capabilities with my S3.

Introduction

What started off by a 1 line sentence to a PM, ended up being a review
I don’t have much experience with amps – apart from the FiiO E1, E3, E5, and nor do I have that much “burn-in” time with all these amps – but thought to share my opinions. Of course they might change, but I doubt it.

I was in the “market” for a portable amp. Now when I mean portable, I mean it. I didn’t want to be carrying around a E7 which is bigger and wider than my actual phone – this is not, for me at least, the definition of portable.
Its like saying headphones are more portable than IEM’s (like the Denon AH-D2000’s vs the Future Sonic Atrio M5/MG7’s)

Overview of 3M Dual Lock – SJ3540 – With Pictures of my Portable Audio Setup

Here are the pictures of my portable setup!
You will see the Dual Lock, attaches my digizoid ZO2 and my Samsung Galaxy S quite well – I also have a custom made interconnect

UPDATE:
I decided to sell my SGS i9000, and thus had to remove the 3M Dual Lock, on the back of my phone – it wasn’t a simply process and didn’t come off easily. Luckily enough, my SGS backplate, comes off, and thus I dunked it into so hot (not boiling) water, and after 15mins, the adhesive foam material came right off, with ease!
Thus, do bear that in mind, when putting this on a surface that cannot be wet – ie. on electronic devices!
