Unboxing, Pictures & Initial Impressions of the Logitech C615 Webcam

I bought this camera, because I wanted something that would look nice, be versatile, and more so work with Skype. As I use that to call family and friends quite a lot.
Logitech was my first point of call, as I’ve always been a fan of their hardware, like their keyboards, mice, sound systems, and general PC peripherals.
I thus started, and ended my webcam search with Logitech, and bought the Logitech C615 on Amazon UK for £37 & AmazonUSA – I chose the 1080P version, as at the time of buying the price difference between the C615 and the C525 (720p variant) was only a few quid.
I’m glad I chose the 1080P variant, as not only has the price increased since I bought it, but also the quality of the camera is superb!

Unboxing, Pictures & Initial Impressions of the Logitech K400 Wireless Keyboard

I bought this keyboard with the intention of using it in lectures at University, with my Samsung Galaxy S III.
I wanted something small, portable, and more so compatible.
The mouse was an added extra with the Logitech, over something like the HP TouchPad – Which I found might come in useful, especially seeing as I might want to edit some previous text I had entered, and more so for a small price difference.
I bought the Logitech K400 from Amazon UK for £28.80 & AmazonUSA for $25.

Micro SIM Cutter – Guide & Overview

Here is the video guide:

I bought them from Amazon for around £3.50-4.

I felt that having the SIM cutter was better than going in-store to ask for it cut each time I needed a SIM to be changed.
Overall, I’m very much satisfied with my purchase, and more so, it work perfectly with the adapter on my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 – which unlike the SGS3 i9300 which accepts micro SIM only, the i9000’s SIM slot is a normal sized one.

I hope the video guide helped you!

Nokia Lumia 800 – A Windows 7 Phone Review

The Nokia Lumia 800 is a phone that runs on Windows Phone 7, after the recent deal that Microsoft and Nokia signed together, can the duo of Microsoft & Nokia cut it, or has one let down the other, in this hugely competitive smartphone market?
Let us find out in a review of the Lumia 800!

First of all, before getting into the review I would like to thank Paul, over at Nokia Connects for being very kind and offering me the Nokia 800 for a 2 weeks trial. (Although it ended up being a 1 month trial!)
I would also like to thank Nokia for featuring this review on their site!

Nokia Lumia 800 vs Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 – Camera

Some pictures and a video comparison I took of both!

The pictures, should show a nice comparison between the 8MP (Lumia) and 5MP (SGS) camera on both devices! Click on the pictures to make them larger, alternatively, I would suggest tabbing both, and then comparing between the two.

Obviously the Lumia’s camera should be better, and indeed it is, as it has a 8 Megapixel camera with a F number/aperture of 2.2 vs the SGS i9000’s 5 Megapixel camera with a F number/aperture of 2.6 – You will also be able to see that the Nokia’s lens is a little wider, especially with the Chimp comparison.

It has to be noted however, that the Lumia’s camera isn’t really consistent – if you look at the 3 photos of the Chimp on the table (at the very end) – they tend to vary in colour, and focus! When Looking at the cars on the street comparison – you will be able to see that the Lumia didn’t focus well on any of the objects, whereas with the SGS, I had no problems.

And here is my video comparison (recorded both at 720p) – they do both look a little grainy – that might have been due to the rendering – but regardless, you should still be able to see the quality difference!

Hope this helped and showed you a good comparison!
