Unboxing, Pictures & Initial Impressions of the Logitech K400 Wireless Keyboard

I bought this keyboard with the intention of using it in lectures at University, with my Samsung Galaxy S III.
I wanted something small, portable, and more so compatible.
The mouse was an added extra with the Logitech, over something like the HP TouchPad – Which I found might come in useful, especially seeing as I might want to edit some previous text I had entered, and more so for a small price difference.
I bought the Logitech K400 from Amazon UK for £28.80 & AmazonUSA for $25.

Here is my Unboxing Video:

Here are the pictures:

Initial Impressions
-Light keyboard
-Works great on the Samsung Galaxy S III
-Keyboard keys are soft on touch
-Mouse tracking is good
-Very low profile keyboard
-Nice design
-Good connectivity (range)

A full review, will come after I start using it in lectures and testing its capabilities with my S3.

Hope you enjoyed the unboxing, pictures & the initial impressions!

Design & Look: 8/10
Microphonics (higher ratings means lower cable noise): 9/10
Isolation: 7/10
Comfort: 9/10
Audio Quality: 7/10
Value: 4.5/10
My final Rating: 6.5/10

Purchase Date: May 2012
Purchase Price: £280

First of all, I would like to thank Grado for sending me out the GR8’s for review. It has been a long time that I have them now, and haven’t proceeded in writing the review, as I have given them a chance to be compared to other earphones I own, and more so, for other people to give them a try, and let them give me their opinions on them too.

The GR8’s come in at quite an expensive price, at £280 for a moving armature driver earphone, one could buy a triple BA driver from Shure, or even Westone.
Although the technologies, are slightly different from each other. One being a BALANCED armature, the other a MOVING armature. At the end of the day, it is supposed to produce the same sound one would get from a or even a few BA drivers – for more information on driver technology, check this link out (Grado GR8 is also mentioned there!)

So let’s see how the Grado GR8’s compare!

Review of the Fischer Audio Wicked Queen Headphones

Pros: Mid-bass, soundstage, portability, price
Cons: Mids, build quality, look, lack of accessories, availability

Packaging & Accessories: 2/10
Build Quality: 7/10
Design & Look: 6.5/10
Isolation: 3/10
Comfort: 8.5/10
Audio Quality: 6/10
Value: 7/10
My final Rating: 7/10

Purchase Date: July 2012
Purchase Price: £45

First of all I would like to thank the lovely Tanya, from Fischer Audio for sending me out the Wicked Queen’s!
Before getting into the review I would like to say that Fischer Audio was to me, an unknown, but yet a very established brand in Asia. Thus it came to my delight when I found these headphones being listed around the EU a little more; For example, the Wicked Queen’s can be bought from Top Dog Headphones, who are an authorised dealer!

I have also seen the Wicked Queen’s in two colours, white, as I have, and in yellow too.

Guide on applying & overview of the XO Skins Carbon Fibre Skin Protector

Here is the video guide on applying the skin:

Here are the pictures:

Written review:
First of all, I would like to thank Joe, over at XO Skins for sending me this out for review! This skin can be bought directly from their website for around £8.50 (not including postage)

I have had the skin on for a little while now, and feel that the skin is absolutely gorgeous, and provides a different look to the S3, which I find very attractive.
The protection provided too, is good, as it gives the S3s backplate an extra layer of protection.
The material used reminds me of a carbon fiber finish, which looks very cool. The material itself has a pattern on it, and isn’t “smooth”.

One thing that I found that gives the skin a slight disadvantage, is the weight. It isn’t heavy, however it should be noted that adding the skin, I felt, gave the S3 a little extra weight. This can be seen, in some people’s minds as a major disadvantage. That said, the weight difference, is extremely small, but is noticeable in my hands (call me a human scale if you so wish).

Apart from that, both the price, and the quality of the product is very much worth it. I would buy this skin if you would like to give your S3 a different look, and give the backplate that little added protection (even though I don’t care about the backplate, as much as I do for the screen, it’s always better to be safe than sorry). Thus overall, a worthy purchase to differentiate yourself from the crowd, and give you a little added protection, on the back, to your S3.

Hope you enjoyed my guide & overview of the skin!
