Antlion Audio ModMic 5.0 Review: A comparative review between the ModMic 5.0 and ModMic 4.0

First of all I would like to thank Antlion for reaching out and sending me the ModMic 5.0. After having reviewed both the Uni-Directional ModMic 4.0 and the Omni-directional ModMic 4.0 (which I used on a daily basis), I was intrigued to see further developments from Antlion.

The new ModMic 5.0 can be found from AmazonUK for £60 and AmazonUSA for $70, which given the ModMic 4.0 prices currently stand around £35-45, it’s a significant price increase. You can find more information about the ModMic 5.0 on Antlion’s website.

Pros: Combination of both ModMic 4.0 omni- and uni-directional mics, modular design, accessories
Cons: Expensive, still needs a (cheap) soundcard to work without static noise, cable weight, no improvements over MocMic 4.0 recordings

Review date: February 2017
Review price: £60
Overall score: 8/10

Here’s my video demonstrating the recording of the ModMic 5.0 and a comparison to the ModMic 4.0:

Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum review - Connection

Having reviewed the Logitech G303 and Logitech G502 mice, the G900 intrigued me, as it houses the same sensor Pixart PMW 3366 sensor as its two wired brothers. Therefore the biggest difference the G900 has over the other two wired models is its wireless capabilities and its different form factor.
The mouse can be found on AmazonUK for around £135 & AmazonUSA for around $150 (note the prices do heavily fluctuate) – as I am a UK based reviewer I will be reviewing it at the £135 price tag.

Here’s my video review of the mouse:

Kingston HyperX Cloud II review - Looks

First of all I would like to thank HyperX for sending me their headset for review. After having reviewed a variety of headsets, I was curious to see how the HyperX Cloud II would compare to its competitors, such as the Creative Sound BlasterX H5 Headset and more so the QPAD QH-90, which looks identical to the Cloud II.

The headset can be found on AmazonUK between £60-70 and on AmazonUSA between $85-100. This review will be based on a £65 price tag.

Note: Some aspects of this review will be similar to my QH-90 review, as they’re similar in many ways.

Trinity Phantom Sabre review: Design and looks

First of all I would like to thank Trinity Audio for sending me the Trinity Phantom Sabre for review. You can find them for £125 directly from the company’s website or on Amazon UK for the same price. In the US you can also find them on Amazon USA for $159.

The earphones use an interesting push/pull dynamic driver in order to deliver the sound. This comes from the earphones housing a set of 7mm titanium diaphragm drivers.

Here’s my video review of the earphones:
